The Work of Christmas

Howard Thurman

When the song of the angels is stilled, When the star in the sky is gone, When the kings and princes are home, When the shepherds are back with their flock, the work of Christmas begins:

To find the lost,
T
o heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among others,
To make music in the heart.

The Presbyterian Church at Woodbury has had a wonderful year celebrating our Tricentennial, but as we move into 2022, we can begin the work of Christmas, again!  We can begin the work of Christ’s kingdom!  I would like to invite you to be involved in the work of this community! As we begin a new calendar year, please join us for Sunday worship, join a Bible study, serve on a Task Force, work at the food pantry, teach Sunday School, help with the community dinner.  There are so many ways that you can be involved in the ministry of Jesus Christ as part of this church.  It is my hope and prayer that it would begin with Sunday worship and study of Scripture and then morph into the work of Christmas!  See you on Sunday!!

In Christ,
Rev. Dr. Philip W. Oehler, Sr.
