Welcome

Good morning and welcome to our worship service on this last Sunday of 2025.  We are so glad to greet all with us in the sanctuary and those worshipping via social media. Those in the sanctuary, please sign the red fellowship pads and pass them down the pews

I would like to thank Marylynn Dielman and Wendy hill for assisting in worship today.  Jack and the choir are off today but we are blessed to have pianist Diana Gable and oboist Katie Foth who will play the prelude and the anthem.

Let us now prepare our hearts and minds to worship God

Prelude –  Katie Foth

Silent Prayer of Preparation

Almighty God, we pray for your blessing on the church in this place.  Here may the faithful find salvation, and the careless be awakened.  Here may the doubting find faith, and the anxious be encouraged.  Here may the tempted find help, and the sorrowful comfort.  Here may the weary find rest, and the strong be renewed.  Here may the aged find consolation and the young be inspired through Jesus Christ our Lord.   Amen

Call to Worship

Cry out with joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness. Come into God’s presence with singing.

For the Lord is a gracious God, whose mercy is everlasting; and whose faithfulness endures to all generations.

*Hymn No. 409       God is Here

*Call to Confession

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God.

*Confession of Sins

Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.   We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength.  We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.   In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name.

*Silent Confession

*Assurance of Pardon

Here the good news.  Who is in a position to condemn?  Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.      Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation.  For the old life has gone;  a new life has begun.  Know that you are forgiven and be at peace.  Amen

*Response No. 1   Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty   v. 4

*Peace of Christ

Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another.  The peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ be with you.   Please greet those near you in Gods peace.
