Christian worship gives all glory and honor, praise and thanksgiving to the holy, triune God. We are gathered in worship to glorify the God who is present and active among us— particularly through the gifts of Word and Sacrament. We are sent out in service to glorify the same God who is present and active in the world.” This statement is the beginning of our understanding of worship from the Book of Order. Worship is the central movement in the life of the church and everything else that we do as the body of Christ.

Since the beginning of the Covid Pandemic, we have worshipped in some new and challenging ways, but always to bring glory and honor, praise and thanksgiving to the holy triune God. After prayerful consideration and realizing that the world is at a very different place, the Session has unanimously voted to restructure our Sunday morning schedule. Shifting Sunday morning worship to 10AM, beginning this Fall. We believe that this will be an opportunity for a fuller participation in worshipping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So, on Sunday, September 4, the service with Communion, will have the following schedule:

9:00 AMCHANCEL CHOIR PRACTICE
10:00AMWORSHIP SERVICE
Kid’s Sunday School after Children’s Message
Pre-K through Grade 5
11:00 AMCOFFEE FELLOWSHIP
11:15 AMADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
12:15 PMCONCLUSION OF ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

After prayerful discussion with Worship Leaders, Staff, Sunday School Teachers, Task Force Members and Elders, it is believed that shifting both the worship time and Sunday School for the elementary aged students will aid in fuller participation by church families. Thank you for understanding that we are at a new place and believe this is the best way to worship Christ and support the education of our children. We look forward to welcoming everyone in September for 10:00am worship, fellowship and Sunday School. Thanks Be To God!!
