Ok, every year at this time we all say that
same thing,

“Where did the summer go?” Truth be told, the same place all seasons go and remember there are still a few weeks left. But I will say that I am ready for the cool Fall air and seeing the leaves turning colors.

That being said, Christian Education is ready to roll into an exciting and inviting new season. It all starts with Rally Day on September 12th. Everyone in church is invited to the Rally Day Picnic at Red Bank Battlefield. Picnic time is 11-1. Sign-ups will be a little different this year. We are going to offer a set menu with three choices of sandwiches, and you will need to need to order ahead. Sign-up sheet will be in Chapel, or you can email me your order at: [email protected].

The 60 and Over Small Group resumes on Tuesday, September 14th at 1pm in the Adult Education Classroom. We will be reading Hollywood Jesus: A Small Group Study Connecting Christ and Culture. If you have any questions, see or call Milt Fredericks.

September 19th, we resume all Sunday school classes. We will require all masks for children under 12 and everyone that is not vaccinated. Dave Platt is in the lounge and all children’s classes start in their respective classrooms. A posting of class dates and topics is on the Christian Education Bulletin Board.

Speaking of planning ahead- here is a “Save the Date”: Sunday, November 28th for Advent Wreath Party luncheon. We will plan to be in person for this event and will start at noon. Please circle this on your calendar as it is a great opportunity for our church family to start the season of Advent.

It is a busy and ambitious schedule, and we think there is more to come. A big thanks to all our teachers and to such a supportive congregation.

Blessings,
Kristen Connell-Franchetti
Christian Education Coordinator
