Scripture tells us that “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Becky Schad has done a wonderful job as Youth Director: building relationships with students, participating in Triennium, leading Bible Studies and offering pastoral care, but a new season is here.
After consultation with the Executive Presbyter for Southern New Jersey, and the Committee on Preparation for Ministry, it is time for her to focus fully upon her call to ministry outside of our congregation. The life of a Presbyterian Inquirer is not easy, and she needs time to focus upon her academic work at Princeton Theological Seminary and in learning her craft as an intern at Woodstown Presbyterian Church.
Becky’s time as Youth Director will come to an end on May 30. Again, we are thankful for all that she has done with the youth of the church. Please be in prayer for Becky as she enters her next season of preparation for ordained ministry.
As she moves forward with her Seminary training, the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury will be prayerfully considering how we care for and nurture the youth of our church. Please also be in prayer for the Personnel Committee and Session as we seek God’s will for our community.
In Christ,
Rev. Dr. Philip W. Oehler, Sr.
