The Education and Outreach Continues

All of us are going through some new and difficult challenges and we, in the church, are no exception. With our doors shuttered, our worship is now streaming via Facebook and Zoom. This is a good start, but we knew we had to reach out to the children especially to let them know that we were not only thinking of them and praying for them, but that we wanted to continue to provide learning experiences as well.

This past week I dropped off Mother’s Day crafts to the households of 24 of our children and we are providing coloring pages and weekly lessons for kids in the 5-10 age group. Letters are also going out to stay in touch with the youth of our church. Furthermore, this week we will meet for a Zoom meet up with some of the Sunday School teachers and our elementary school kids.

I would also like to send a congratulations to Megan Brown, this year’s sole recipient of the Plagg Scholarship, who graduates from Deptford High School and will continue her education at Georgia Institute of Technology. Good luck in your future endeavors!

If there is anything else you feel we could do to help your children or family please do not hesitate to contact me. We do not know when things will get back to what we called normal; but we want you to know that we are here for everyone now

Blessings,
Kristen Franchetti
