So many things are happening in the Christian Education wing of the church. I am sure you have heard me speak in church for last few weeks about the Lenten Service Project. We are asking for donations for personal hygiene kits. You can find the information in the Chapel for what is needed. All donations need to brought back to church by March 10.
We are offering two classes during the Lenten season; one during the Sunday school hour at 11:00. This six-week class will be on Mark’s Good News and will be led by Phil.
The second class being offered will be on Wednesday evenings with a light dinner offered. Start time for this class will be 6 p.m. Phil will lead this class on Enough: God’s Blessing in Abundance. There is a sign-up sheet in the Chapel for this class. Sunday school is still going strong and I can’t thank the teachers enough for all their hard work and talents they bring to the children. Parents I would also like to thank you for bringing your kids and allowing us to share in helping to shape their faith journey.
This year the women’s retreat is going to be a destination trip to Johnsonburg. The dates are April 26-28. The information for this trip is in the chapel. Should you have any questions please let me know.
The church picnic is being moved to Rally Day. This new date will start off our church school year and bring a time for fellowship and fun. Let’s pray for great Fall weather! Save the date September 8. It is exciting to see new faces in worship, new faces on mission trips, new faces in Sunday school and in the nursey. Good things are happening so let us embrace the blessings as we move ahead together in Christ.
Blessings, Kristen Franchetti Christian Education Coordinator
