In response to some of the emergent needs brought about by the devastation of Hurricanes and flooding in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico we are putting together 50 cleanup Buckets to be distributed to areas in distress. This mission will replace Operation Christmas Child this year. We will be part of a nationwide and church-wide campaign to help so many who have suffered so much.

The Buckets are 5 gallons with resealable lids and contain the following:

  • Scouring Pads
  • Concentrated Lysol
  • Sponges
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Scrub brushes
  • Clothespins/clothesline
  • Cleaning towels
  • Dust masks
  • Dry laundry detergent
  • Work gloves
  • Contractor trash bags
  • Insect repellant
  • Latex Gloves

The initial cost per cost filled bucket was estimated at $75 but thanks to Les Parkin and Pep Boys all the buckets were donated. And thanks to Janet Edick’s shopping skills for all the items we have brought out cost down to $50 per Bucket. When the Buckets are filled we will seal them and deliver them to the regional distribution center.

So, here’s where we need your help. Each bucket has to be identical so we don’t want any items brought in. Jan will do all the shopping- so we are asking for a donation.

Options-

  • $50.00 – Full Bucket
  • $37.50 – 3/4 Bucket
  • $25.00 – Half Bucket
  • $12.50 – 1/4 Bucket
  • Or any smaller donation you can afford

Checks make payable to Presbyterian Church @ Woodbury
