Author Henri J.M. Nouwen in his book “The Spirituality of Fund-Raising” proclaims that:

Fund-raising from the point of view of the gospel says to people: “I will take your money and invest it in this vision only if it is good for your spiritual journey, only if it is good for your spiritual health.” In other words, we are calling them to an experience of conversion: “You won’t become poorer, you will become richer by giving.” We can confidently declare with the Apostle Paul: “You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity…” (2 Corinthians 9:11)

We once again enter the season of stewardship – a time of spiritual fund-raising. It is my prayer that each of us would reexamine what gifts we offer (time, talents and treasures) so that the good news of Jesus Christ might be proclaimed by the ministries of this church. We will spend the next four Sunday’s considering Scriptures understanding of Stewardship:

  • October 8
    God’s Ownership Over All
    Acts 17:22-31 (v.28)
  • October 15
    What is Biblical Stewardship
    1 Corinthians 4:1-5
  • October 22
Stewardship: It’s a Matter of Trust
    Matthew 25:14-30
  • October 29
    The Church’s Stewardship
    2 Corinthians 9:1-5

You will receive two mailings during October and a pledge card. We invite you to bring your financial commitment to Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 29. We will receive the pledge cards during the offering at our 9:30 am service. Please be in prayerful consideration of how you might generously commit to our local, national and international ministries.

  • In Christ,
